About Scott Allen Burns
I’m a retired engineering professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I still teach a few classes each year at U of I and conduct research on various topics of interest. I recently returned to school for a few years as a non-degree undergraduate student in Fine and Applied Arts at U of I, and most recently, have been assisting fellow profs, Stephen Cartwright and Brad Tober, with their projects. My technical interests include mechanism design, electronics, programming, microcontroller-based systems, mathematics of human color perception, and image processing. My artistic interests include ceramics, photography, kinetic art, and math-based artwork.
